Catena Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Catena wines emerge as a distinguished selection from various terrains of the Catena family, crafted by Laura Catena, a fourth-generation wine producer, and Alejandro Vigil, the Chief Winemaker of Catena Zapata. These wines, ready for immediate enjoyment upon release, have demonstrated an exceptional aging potential, ranging between ten and twenty years. After extensive research into the varied high-altitude microclimates in Mendoza, the Catena family has identified the optimal locations for their vineyards. This particular Cabernet Sauvignon, originating from these historic vineyards, is characterized by its uniqueness, authenticity, balance, and depth.

Regarding its winemaking process, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for a period of 14 days, followed by a post-fermentation maceration of 20 to 23 days, using native yeasts. The aging period is 12 months in oak barrels, specifically selected based on the vineyard and harvest characteristics, using barrels of first, second, and third use.
